Daniela Poggio is joining Angelini Pharma in the new role of Global Communications Head, reporting directly to CEO Pierluigi Antonelli, with the aim of strengthening external and internal communications, relationships with the press and social network activities, both in Italy and in the other regions where Angelini Pharma operates. In this role, Poggio will be a member of the “Leadership Team”, Angelini Pharma’s executive committee.

From 2013, Poggio has held the role of Communications Director in Sanofi, where she established a corporate media company leading to Sanofi winning the best social company accolade at the 2018 Digital Pharma Awards. In Sanofi, she also distinguished herself through her robust approach to innovation, involving the implementation of agile working methods, as well as her active participation in European Gender Balance activities. Prior to her experiences in the pharma sector, Poggio acted as Head of Communications for Italy and Greece in Goodyear Dunlop. Her career began in Vodafone, where she held roles of ever-increasing responsibility in the Communications Department, starting in 2002.

Poggio holds an undergraduate degree in Literature and Philosophy from the University of Milan as well as a Master's degree in Public and Political Communication, and is on the Italian national register of publicists. Currently, she contributes to La27Ora (the blog from the Corriere della Sera daily newspaper aimed at women) and teaches Brand Journalism in the Faculty of Corporate Communication and Public Relations at Milan’s IULM University.
