Tetridamine maleate

Tetridamine maleate has a marked antiinflammatory and efficacious analgesic activity in all conditions in which inflammation, phlogosis and pain are the predominant symptoms. Through its local topical application, to the vagina, its action focuses on the inflamed locus, reducing and alleviating the subjective symptoms that accompany vulvovaginal inflammatory processes.

Composition
Each sachet contains:

Tetridamine (INN) maleate...................................500 mg. Excipients sodium chloride, trimethyl cetyl ammonium-p-toluene sulphonate, povidone and colloidal silica.

Indications
Non-specific vaginites. Coadjuvant in the treatment of specific vaginites.

Posology and administration
Dissolve 1 or 2 sachets in water, preferably lukewarm, in the bidet and perform vaginal douches. If a more thorough vaginal douche is required, the use of an irrigator is recommended.

Incompatibilities
No pharmacological incompatibilities with other medicines have been reported.

Side Effects
In few cases, in the first few days of treatment, a transient sensation of stinging has been described, although this did not require the suspension of treatment.

Warnings
The medicinal product is for VAGINAL USE ONLY.

Overdose and its treatment
No overdose is expected through this route of administration. In the event of an accidental oral overdose, a gastric lavage and symptomatic treatment should be carried out.
