Anacervix

Anacervix is an original medicine of evident therapeutic interest, made from vincamine (alkaloid extracted from Vinca minor L.) and piracetam (2-pyrrolidone-acetamide).
Vincamine, by virtue of its selective vasoregulatory action on the encephalic area, improves the circulation and nutrition of the cerebral parenchyma.
Piracetam is a specific activator of the metabolism of the cerebral cortex that increases neuronal energy reserves, reinforcing the resistance of cerebral cells to hypoxia.
Anacervix, by virtue of the synergy of its ingredients, is a complete treatment of the cerebral vascular processes that course with hypoxia, neuronal insufficiency or neurological manifestations ascribable to metabolic alterations.

COMPOSITION
Each capsule contains:

vincamine (INN)...................... 20 mg
piracetam (INN).................... 400 mg
Excipients: maize starch, magnesium stearate, talcum, opaque grey 284, synthetic iron oxide black (E-172), titanium dioxide (E-171), opaque white.

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
Progressive and chronic cerebral insufficiencies.
Cerebral insufficiencies caused by acute vascular accidents and cranial trauma.
Organic and psychic disorders of cerebral hypoxia.
Learning difficulty and behaviour alterations.
Neuronal intoxications.

POSOLOGY
The usual average dose is 3 capsules a day, which may be increased according to medical criteria to 6 capsules a day, taken preferably after the main meals.

CONTRAINDICATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS
Cerebral neoformation with intracranial hypertension. Pregnancy.

INCOMPATIBILITIES
Anacervix may boost the action of barbiturates.

UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS
Anacervix is perfectly tolerated.
